ITC is eye-catcher in morning hours on Monday. The stock was trading higher by over 5% at Rs 340.85 per share. Nifty FMCG index hit record high of 28267 level higher by over 1000 points. Bank Nifty is trading lower by 5 points at 23205 level. Bank of Baroda is top gainer in the index trading at Rs 164.75 per share up by Rs 3 per share. Metal stocks are also surging higher. Hindalco is top gainer trading at Rs 195.25 per share up by Rs 4.3 per share. At 10 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31089 up 167 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9564 up 43 points. A total of 31 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 20 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.55% at 14724, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.68% at 15516. Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Metal, Pharma, Auto, while Oil & Gas, Energy, IT and Realty are showing weakness on BSE. ITC, Hindalco, Bharti Infratel, Bank of Baroda, Eicher Motors are among the gainers, whereas NTPC, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Bajaj Auto and Indiabulls Housing Finance are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.

RCF / FACT / NFL / Chambal Fertilizer – The government has given some relief to the farmers. At the GST Council meeting on the evening of June 30, it has been decided to increase the GST rates on fertilizers to 5 per cent instead of 12 per cent. At the same time, the tractor components will be 18 percent GST instead of 28 percent.Finance Minister Arun Jaitley says that this decision has been taken to give relief to the farmers.
NHPC / SJVN – Hydro-power policy can be approved from the cabinet. The benefit of Rs. 16,709 crore is possible for 40 projects stranded in the policy. Power Ministry has sent a policy to the Finance Ministry.
