The Indian stock market closed with gains today after getting better signals from the domestic economy. Sensex closed with a gain of 46 points at 26713 today. While Nifty rose 20 points and close at 8179 levels. The most gains saw in FMCG today.
PSU Banks have Big Fall Today
PSU Banks were the most bearish stocks in today’s trading. PSU Bank index fell by 3 per cent during the trade. All 12 stocks of the index have fell today. Canara bank had the biggest decline fell more than 4 per cent today. Union Bank, Syndicate Bank also fell by more than 3 per cent. SBI, Bank of Baroda, Andhra Bank fell between 2.5 to 3 per cent.
The auto sector has also declined today. In auto index Ashok Leyland’s share declined by 4 per cent. The company’s sales figures are below as per the expectations. Exide Ind. declined by 3 per cent
However, in today’s trading most growth has been seen in FMCG sector. The Index has gained 1.6 per cent. ITC, Britannia Industries has gained more than 2 per cent today, while Emami has gained more than one per cent.
