Equity benchmarks saw some selling pressure amid consolidation in morning trade as investors looked for cues from Federal Reserve’s monetary policy meeting that will begin tonight. The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 24.75 points at 32,399.01 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 10.15 points to 10,142.95. The broader markets outperformed benchmarks as the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.3 percent each on positive breadth. About 1,066 shares advanced against 915 declining shares on the BSE.

Biocon – The US FDA has completed the inquiry of Biocon’s Visakhapatnam plant. The US FDA has not issued any objection to the plant.

DLF / Peninsula Land / Prestige Estate – SEBI has approved the issuance of bonds to the REITs i.e. REITS and INVIT. Investors will be able to release bonds to raise capital. By now, Reits and Invent were able to raise the money through equity only. SEBI has also approved the writings of a project.

MTNL / ITI / Container Corp / Dredging Corp – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold an important meeting on disinvestment today. Finance Minister, Disinvestment Secretary and other senior officials will be present in the meeting. It is believed that in this meeting, discussions may be discussed about selling shares in government companies and closure of loss-making companies.

Dixon Technologies – SBI Mutual Fund has bought 5 million shares of Dixon Technologies.

Bharat road project – Large investors have sold 25% of the shares on the day of listing of the India Road Project.

Jet airways / spicejet / interglobe aviation – In August, the number of domestic air passengers increased by 15.63 percent. In August, 96.90 million people traveled by air. SpiceJet’s load factor is the highest at 94.5 percent.

Apex Frozen / Avanti Feeds – America has reduced anti-dumping duty on imports of prawns. Anti-dumping duty has been reduced from 1.07 percent to 0.84 percent.
